Each year CWS Greensboro sets up an average of one new apartment per week. That’s a lot of work! We depend on the community to help us meet the needs of new arrivals in a cost effective manner through the in-kind donation of neccessary household items. Items in high demand include:
* Coffee Tables * Lamps * Kitchen Table/Chairs * Blankets (new or professionally cleaned) * Dressers * Rice Cookers * Pots/Pans * Pillows/Sheets (new only) * Children’s items * Winter Coats *
At this time, CWS does not have our own moving vehicle so we are unable to do donation pick ups in most cases. We are happy to receive items that can be transported by car or van or to meet individuals with trucks at our storage. Additionally, we partner frequently with the Barnabas Network for large items suck as couches and would encourage you to contact them for donation pick up in such cases.
In addition to your gently used or new donated household goods – we could very much use your muscles for moving day! We conduct household set ups most weeks. Individuals interested in donating your valuable time, please contact Sarah Ivory at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 336-617-0381.
